The plans to relocate Poole Town Football Club to Branksome Recreation Ground would mean changing the open space to the artist impression found on PTFC web site above.
Do you want to see a permanent structure on the land with approximately 2 metre wall taking away the views of green space and creating a divided walkway around the rec?
Plans – a quick overview.
- To enclose 17% of the rec.
- To enclose a full sized football pitch with a minimum capacity of 1000 spectators behind a 2 metre wall (approx)
- Extend the pavilion to include seating for 150.
- Remodel the inside of the pavilion for PTFC club house and community use including disabled access.
- Upgrade the changing and showering facilities.
- Rearrange the car park to accommodate more vehicles including the removal of shrubs.
- Create 3 Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs) which will be free to use between 10am and 5pm, after which charges will be made.
- PTFC to take over the maintenance of the whole site from Borough of Poole, including 4 football pitches and one cricket pitch. Currently 5 football pitches are accessible to all without a cost.
